IT Operations and Security Lead (Fintech)

Location: Malaysia; on-site work required with occasional travel

hirify.global is a rapidly expanding fintech company serving customers in the Philippines through its lending business and developing a broader financial ecosystem.

What you will do

• Own information security controls across endpoints, users, infrastructure, identity, access, logging, and security tooling.
• Manage vulnerability scanning, prioritization, patching, endpoint hardening, alert investigation, and incident response.
• Operate IT support for endpoints, mobile devices, workplace technology, onboarding, offboarding, ticket queues, and service levels.
• Design and operate office networks, including routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, VPN, Wi-Fi, and performance monitoring.
• Administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, local infrastructure, storage, and backup systems where applicable.
• Lead local IT staff or managed service providers, manage vendors and assets, deliver technology rollouts, and report to senior leadership.

Requirements

• Unrestricted right to work in Malaysia; visa sponsorship is not available.
• 6–8+ years of IT operations or support experience, including 2–3+ years as an IT lead or sole IT owner.
• Hands-on information security experience with EDR, vulnerability management, hardening, email and phishing defense, log and alert triage, and incident response.
• Experience with network engineering, firewall administration, identity and access management, MFA, least privilege, Microsoft 365, and Entra ID.
• Experience managing Windows and macOS endpoints, operating ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, or CIS controls, and supporting audits.
• Professional English proficiency and the ability to work on-site with occasional travel.

Nice to have

• Security, networking, or Microsoft certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCNA, CCNP, SC-200/300, MD-102, MS-102, or AZ-104.
• SIEM/SOAR experience with Sentinel, Splunk, or Elastic.
• Financial regulatory, data protection, AWS/GCP security, business continuity, or disaster recovery experience.
• PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripting and experience establishing IT/security operations in a new market.
