Cloud Security Engineer (Azure)

What you will do

• Design, implement, monitor, and improve security controls across cloud platforms, primarily Microsoft Azure.
• Monitor cloud environments for security events, misconfigurations, and suspicious activity, supporting incident investigation and response.
• Perform configuration reviews and risk analysis for cloud-hosted systems and services.
• Manage identity and access controls, including least privilege, role-based access, and privileged account protection.
• Work with infrastructure, DevOps, and application teams to integrate security into cloud deployments and operations.
• Maintain cloud security tooling, documentation, technical runbooks, compliance evidence, and audit support.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in cloud security, cybersecurity engineering, infrastructure security, or a related technical security role.
• Good understanding of cloud security principles, identity and access management, network security, data protection, logging, and monitoring.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with cloud-native security platforms, SIEM, vulnerability management, endpoint detection, and secure configuration of virtual machines, storage, networking, containers, and cloud services.
• Experience supporting incident response, remediation, or operational troubleshooting, with knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, or similar frameworks.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Microsoft Sentinel, Intune, Defender, or Purview.
• Certifications such as AZ-500, SC-200, SC-300, CCSK, or CompTIA Security+.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, CI/CD security, DevSecOps, AWS, SOC, cloud operations, or enterprise regulatory requirements.
