Cyber Security Analyst (Contract)

Location: Cyberjaya, Malaysia; hybrid schedule with 2 days working from the office and 3 days working from home

What you will do

• Collaborate with project teams to resolve security challenges and support delivery milestones.
• Identify security issues and implement practical, risk-based solutions.
• Advise teams and business partners on security best practices, policies, and compliance requirements.
• Investigate information security incidents, identify root causes, and support remediation and prevention.
• Troubleshoot network and systems security issues and monitor relevant threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies.
• Maintain security processes, standards, guidance, documentation, and reporting, including work with vendors during tenders and audits.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience across UNIX, Windows, and Linux environments and IP intranet/internet security.
• Experience with firewalls, intrusion detection, incident response, vulnerability testing, operating system hardening, policy writing, regulatory compliance, and data classification.
• Understanding of information security principles such as least privilege and defence in depth.
• Knowledge of PCI DSS, ISO and ISM standards, identity management solutions, and transactional website security.
• Experience with security technologies such as Imperva WAF, VPN, endpoint response, password management systems, and web proxies.

Nice to have

• Certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CISM, SSCP, CCSP, CPP, CNSP, CNSA, or ICSE.
