AWS Kiro Workshop Instructor (AI)

Location: Remote cooperation with a schedule convenient for both the expert and the team; experts across different locations and time zones are supported.

Salary: $90–$130 USD per hour, negotiable depending on expertise.

What you will do

• Adapt three existing AI-Assisted Programming Advanced workshops for AWS Kiro while preserving their learning objectives and technical depth.
• Deliver practical 90–120 minute sessions for mid-to-senior engineering teams using Kiro and agentic AI tools.
• Facilitate labs on architecture reasoning agents, agent decomposition, ADRs, architecture diagrams, Mermaid generation through MCP, and sub-agent decisions.
• Demonstrate MCP server security issues and mitigations, including prompt injection, tool poisoning, token passthrough, scope-based authorization, and simulated OAuth flows.
• Guide participants in reviewing, testing, and patching MCP server code with the Python MCP SDK, FastMCP, and uv.
• Run the AI Agent Cost Lab and collaborate with the academy team and subject-matter experts to validate workshop materials.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience using AWS Kiro regularly, including steering files, execution modes, MCP configuration, and agent workflows.
• Practical experience designing and evaluating single-agent, multi-agent, and tool-assisted systems.
• Hands-on MCP client- and server-level knowledge, including external capability integration and handler-code modification.
• Strong Python experience with the Python MCP SDK, FastMCP, and uv.
• Understanding of MCP security, OAuth-based authorization, agent cost analysis, token usage, and tool-layer optimization.
• Professional fluency in English and experience delivering technical workshops to experienced engineering audiences.

Nice to have

• AWS Authorized Instructor status, ideally for Spec-Driven Development with Kiro (AMWSSDDK).
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification or higher.
• Experience with Amazon Bedrock, Docker, containerized MCP servers, or adapting technical curriculum to new toolchains.
