TL;DR
Lead Instructor (Data Center Technician): Delivering live, virtual instruction on data center technician content for diverse groups of 30 to 300 learners with an accent on lecture preparation, learner engagement, and making complex topics accessible. Focus on leading synchronous online classes, managing Q&A and chat flow, adapting lesson delivery, and improving course content with program operations staff.

Location: Remote; preference for providing instruction in the Eastern Time zone.

What you will do

  • Prepare and lead live virtual classroom sessions for groups of 30 to 300 learners.
  • Manage in-class Q&A, monitor chat flow, and maintain learner energy and engagement.
  • Collaborate with operations personnel to support smooth program delivery and schedule adherence.
  • Contribute to lesson design, curriculum updates, and course improvement feedback.
  • Provide responsive, empathetic assistance and adapt lesson pacing for diverse learners.

Requirements

  • Strong educator with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience working in physical data centers or similar environments.
  • Mentoring or supervisory experience if prior teaching experience is unavailable.
  • Fluent English with professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Empathy, flexibility, patience, and an interest in helping learners transition into data roles.

Nice to have

  • A+ certification.
  • Network+ certification.

  • Lectures are scheduled Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM ET.
