Senior Scientist, Cellular Genomics

Location: On premise in Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States. Relocation support may be available based on business needs and eligibility.

Annual base salary: $93,600–$156,000, plus a 12.5% bonus target and eligibility for a share-based long-term incentive program.

What you will do

• Lead computational analysis of single-cell, spatial, transcriptomic, epigenomic, and multi-omics datasets.
• Perform quality assessment, preprocessing, statistical analysis, visualization, biological annotation, and reproducible interpretation.
• Translate genomic data into mechanistic hypotheses, biomarker concepts, pharmacology interpretations, and decision-relevant insights.
• Integrate cellular genomics with disease biology, perturbation biology, pharmacology, translational datasets, and project hypotheses.
• Provide wet-lab genomics input on study design, sample processing, assay selection, data-quality requirements, and workflow interpretation.
• Support limited hands-on wet-lab execution and troubleshooting for single-cell, sequencing, and spatial workflows.

Requirements

• BS with 6+ years, MS with 4+ years, or PhD with 0–3+ years of relevant experience in computational biology, genomics, systems biology, immunology, bioinformatics, or a related field.
• Practical experience analyzing high-dimensional genomic datasets using reproducible computational workflows.
• Proficiency in R, Python, statistics, data visualization, quality control, standard bioinformatics pipelines, and multi-omics interpretation.
• Hands-on experience with wet-lab genomic assay workflows, including sample processing, sequencing, single-cell, or spatial profiling methods.
• Permanent authorization to work in the United States is required; U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience analyzing single-cell, spatial, sequencing, or multi-omics datasets in inflammation, immunology, neuroinflammation, or autoimmunity.
• Experience with version-controlled workflows, command-line tools, scalable data processing, statistical modeling, visualization, and reproducible reporting.
• Experience with machine learning, computational, statistical, or approved agentic tools for high-dimensional data analysis.
• Experience integrating genomic data with perturbational biology, pharmacology, translational datasets, or disease models.
• Experience with biomarkers, translational medicine, or mechanism-informed drug-development decisions.
