Staff Applied Machine Learning Engineer (Agentic AI)

Location: Remote within the USA. US Citizenship or a Greencard is required due to US Government contract requirements.

Salary: $230,000–$270,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Lead the development of machine learning models and data-driven algorithms for high-impact projects.
• Design and develop complex systems involving knowledge graphs and advanced entity detection.
• Own ML solutions end-to-end in collaboration with product and platform teams.
• Evaluate algorithmic runtime complexity and the cost of operating models at production scale.
• Build, deliver, maintain, and support enterprise products and distributed production systems.
• Communicate modeling decisions, tradeoffs, and limitations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• US Citizenship or a Greencard required for US Government contract work.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or NLP; a PhD is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in ML engineering and building models for large-scale systems.
• Experience building and supporting knowledge graph and semantic representation systems.
• Experience designing, building, evaluating, and optimizing agentic AI systems, including reasoning loops, tool use, orchestration patterns, and context management.
• Experience supporting production systems and debugging distributed-system challenges, with strong cross-functional communication skills.

Nice to have

• Start-up experience or comfort working in 0→1 product environments.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes.
• Experience integrating ML models and data-driven algorithms into larger system architectures.
