Location: Nationwide remote within the United States; assignments may involve deployment to EOCs, JFOs, DRCs, client sites, field locations, or remote environments. Must be willing and able to travel nationally by air or vehicle on short notice and work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Salary: $67,355–$114,503 annually based on full-time employment.

What you will do
- Support all-hazards disaster response and recovery operations, including natural disasters, public health emergencies, and other emergency events.
- Coordinate with Incident Command, Operations, Logistics, Planning, Finance & Administration, Command Staff, vendors, contractors, and partner organizations.
- Coordinate Emergency Support Functions, operational branches, field teams, mission assignments, task tracking, resource prioritization, and field operations.
- Monitor incident activities, identify operational challenges and resource gaps, and support issue resolution.
- Support EOC activations, operational briefings, planning meetings, incident management activities, and information sharing.
- Prepare situational reports, operational updates, executive summaries, and incident documentation while supporting continuity, resilience, and community recovery.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience in emergency management, disaster response or recovery, public safety, military operations, incident management, emergency communications, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of actual incident response, emergency operations, or related operational experience across multiple teams and tactical functions.
- At least 2 years of experience managing priorities in dynamic, time-sensitive environments and producing reports, plans, briefings, documentation, or decision-support products.
- Completion of FEMA/NIMS ICS courses 100, 200, 700, and 800.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Records check required.
- Must be available for short-notice national deployment and flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in emergency management, public administration, homeland security, public safety, business administration, criminal justice, fire science, or a related field.
- Experience in EOC operations, personnel supervision, team coordination, and large-scale multi-jurisdictional emergency operations.
- Experience working with federal, state, tribal, territorial, or local government partners, utilities, healthcare organizations, nonprofits, or critical infrastructure partners.
- Completion of FEMA/NIMS ICS courses 300 and 400, plus Operations Section Chief deployment experience and related ICS training.
