Associate, Private Strategies (CRE Debt)

Salary: $135,000–$180,000 base salary per year, plus discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Build Excel models projecting project-level cash flows, borrower and lender returns, and fund-level returns.
• Support the origination, underwriting, and execution of commercial real estate debt transactions across senior mortgages, mezzanine financing, CMBS, and preferred equity.
• Draft and negotiate term sheets and loan documentation.
• Prepare detailed Investment Committee memos and presentations.
• Lead or manage due diligence and closing execution, coordinating internal and external stakeholders, consultants, and investors.
• Coordinate capital markets activities, procure leverage for fund investments, and support asset management through business plans and relationship management.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of relevant real estate investment banking or private equity experience; asset-level underwriting experience is highly preferred.
• Exceptional financial modeling skills and proficiency in Argus.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal communication, writing, and project management skills.
• Outstanding academic credentials and demonstrated leadership capabilities.
• Proactive, self-motivated team player with strong work ethic, integrity, and eagerness to learn.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and travel frequently as needed.

• Asset-level real estate underwriting experience.
