Associate, Investment Banking - CAO Group

Location: New York, NY; based in New York City with onsite work in a collaborative environment. The proportion of onsite and remote work will be discussed during the interview. Candidates must be legally eligible to work at the specified location and may need a valid work or study permit.

Salary: $120,000–$135,000 per year for the New York, NY market, plus potential incentive compensation and discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Provide day-to-day business management support to investment bankers, capital markets transactors, and syndicate desk professionals.
• Coordinate with Compliance, Legal, Risk, IT, Operations, Finance, vendors, brokers, and suppliers.
• Oversee deal pipeline, management reporting, position exposure, risk appetite, regulatory capital, and risk-weighted assets.
• Manage revenue recognition, expenses, headcount, balance sheet processes, systems entitlements, market data, and records retention.
• Advance strategic objectives, improve operational efficiency, and support business growth.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience supporting sell-side capital markets origination or syndicate desks, including Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets, Private Placements, Leveraged Finance, or Loan Syndication.
• Knowledge of deal structures, capital markets products, revenue calculation, and the full lifecycle of new-issue origination and syndication.
• Experience leading projects involving multiple infrastructure stakeholders and familiarity with capital markets regulatory, accounting, legal, and compliance environments.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation skills, with attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.
• Legal eligibility to work in the United States at the specified location is required.

• Experience in investment banking sector coverage, M&A, or corporate banking.
