What you will do

• Manage product development, supplier qualification, product maintenance, and quality assurance programs for assigned own-brand food categories.
• Lead cross-functional qualification and ongoing assessment of complex supplier facilities and manufacturing processes.
• Conduct product, supplier, process, and project risk assessments and communicate risks to business leaders.
• Verify product specifications, shelf-life requirements, facility claims, and compliance with hirify.global and regulatory standards.
• Investigate product and facility issues, oversee root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions, and recommend withdrawals, recalls, or supplier action plans.
• Coordinate with suppliers, procurement, product development, regulatory teams, testing laboratories, and audit providers to execute verification activities and improve quality programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, physical, life, applied science, engineering, or a related field; a graduate degree is preferred.
• 7+ years of related experience and 7+ years of quality systems auditing experience.
• Experience in manufacturing quality assurance, complex issue resolution with senior management, and retail or consumer products.
• Advanced knowledge of manufacturing systems, food safety and quality management, HACCP/HARPC, GMPs, sanitation procedures, statistical process control, risk assessment, and quality auditing.
• Knowledge of GFSI or GRMA principles, applicable food regulations, supplier compliance, and import compliance.
• Strong project management, communication, influencing, negotiation, critical-thinking, and cross-functional collaboration skills; proficiency in MS Office and planning or scheduling tools.

Nice to have

• ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, Certified Food Safety and Quality Auditor, or Certified Supplier Quality Professional certification, as applicable.
• Six Sigma training and U.S. Food Law training.
• Industry-specific certifications or training.
