Senior Application Engineer (C++)

Location: Poland; hybrid work with at least 3 days per week in the office

Salary: PLN 169,000–330,000 gross annually, plus potential bonus and equity incentives

What you will do

• Design, develop, and implement software solutions across applications, systems architecture, and infrastructure.
• Analyse system requirements and business processes, translating them into robust, well-tested, and maintainable C++ code.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and market trends to inform technology decisions.
• Collaborate across functions and geographies on architecture, database design, software development, and testing.
• Mentor team members and promote continuous improvement and engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including design, development, testing, and implementation of complex solutions.
• Professional C++ experience developing and maintaining high-performance, production-grade software.
• Strong understanding of systems architecture, application infrastructure, and the software development lifecycle.
• Clear communication skills and experience working in collaborative, cross-functional environments.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree or specialization in financial markets, finance, mathematics, or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications in specialist technology disciplines.
• Experience with global teams or enterprise-scale systems in regulated industries.
