Senior C++ Developer (Financial Services)

Location: Kraków, Poland; hybrid model with 3 days per week in the office

What you will do

• Design, develop, customize, and modernize functionality for the Fund Accounting System supporting back-office operations.
• Build maintainable, documented, standardized, performant, and robust enterprise application components.
• Define requirements and technical designs with business analysts and business representatives, including gap analysis and functionality options.
• Create prototypes, contribute to database and data model design, and enforce design patterns through code reviews.
• Resolve production issues, perform root cause analysis and performance tuning, and support business users.
• Upgrade software, remediate security vulnerabilities, replace end-of-life components, and deliver integrations, single sign-on, and re-platforming initiatives with other BBH teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Proficiency in C++ and Linux development tools.
• Knowledge of relational database concepts and SQL.
• Strong development practices including debugging, testing, unit testing, continuous integration, refactoring, and clean code.
• Good understanding of object-oriented design and design patterns.
• Experience with Jenkins, Subversion, and Git; ability to work with Scrum or Agile methodologies and troubleshoot applications using logs.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python.
• Experience developing REST web services in Java.
• Knowledge of Spring, Spring MVC, and Spring Boot.
