Solution Architect (Azure)

What you will do

• Translate functional designs into high-quality technical architectures and assess solution options for outcome-based decisions.
• Define technology roadmaps supporting transformation, standardized patterns, reference architectures, and technology estate simplification.
• Assure strategic change against IT strategy, regulatory standards, security principles, and architecture frameworks.
• Identify technology gaps, constraints, and risks, initiating the consolidation, retirement, or replacement of legacy systems.
• Collaborate with business, infrastructure, security, and strategic design stakeholders, including C-suite leaders, third-party providers, architects, and developers.
• Apply Conduct Rules, regulatory guidelines, and risk management frameworks covering information security and data governance.

Requirements

• Strong financial services background, ideally with deep knowledge of mortgages and savings.
• Experience delivering high-pace, large-scale programmes with structured governance and defined artefacts.
• Hands-on experience designing solutions on the Microsoft technology stack, including Azure.
• Extensive solution architecture experience using industry-standard frameworks, ideally TOGAF.
• Experience across the full change lifecycle, with the ability to construct, deconstruct, and clearly communicate complex systems.
• Ability to analyze and articulate the cost, risk, time, and impact implications of new functionality.
