Mechanical Systems Engineer (Power Plants)

What you will do

• Manage mechanical components from order intake through the end of the warranty period.
• Take responsibility for component costs, deadlines, and quality throughout project execution.
• Coordinate with technical, logistical, commercial, and project management functions, as well as suppliers and customers.
• Create technical documentation, including tender documents and customer letters.
• Evaluate supplier offers, conduct technical negotiations, and review technical drawings and assembly or operating manuals.
• Inspect supplier workshops and manufacturers, and provide technical support during component assembly at construction sites.

Requirements

• Degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, or a comparable field at associate, diploma, bachelor's, or master's level.
• Three to five years of professional experience in the power plant business is desirable.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office and basic knowledge of COMOS Taurus and Fabasoft.
• Experience with 3D tools, technical drawings, project execution, design, production, quality monitoring, and scheduling.
• Ability to understand coating and welding requirements, evaluate component functionality and quality, and conduct technical supplier negotiations and inspections.
• Advanced English and German language skills, plus willingness to travel internationally, are required.

Nice to have

• Completed metalworking apprenticeship.
• Knowledge of filtration, FinFan-type heat exchangers, noise protection, firefighting systems, and applicable standards and guidelines.
