Device Metrology Tool Development Lead (Quantum)

What you will do

• Coordinate the R&D project developing scalable metrology methods and automated tooling for high-throughput quantum-device screening.
• Manage the critical path, prioritize tasks, and sequence work according to impact, resources, and technical dependencies.
• Guide system-level technical decisions by synthesizing input from engineering and scientific disciplines.
• Lead the technical project team and coordinate design, fabrication, and measurement activities.
• Identify technical risks, bottlenecks, resource constraints, and potential failure modes, then establish contingencies.
• Serve as the primary technical interface for external development partners and collaborators.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience as a project lead, systems engineer, technical program manager, or lead engineer in a deep-tech industry.
• Master’s degree or PhD in Physics, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong understanding of the design–produce–measure R&D lifecycle.
• Exposure to chip characterization, RF/microwave engineering, or cryogenic systems.
• Ability to make authoritative project decisions across cross-functional streams, navigate ambiguity, and communicate clearly.
• Pragmatic, results-focused approach to technical delivery.
