Salary: £52,118–£67,568 per year, depending on geographic market, knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional compensation may include bonuses, incentives, equity awards, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

What you will do

• Plan, implement, document, and protect computerized databases and define operational standards.
• Administer SQL Server environments, including configuration, monitoring, space management, backups, and recovery.
• Read monitoring metrics and tune database systems and applications for performance, availability, and reliability.
• Build scripts and tools to automate database administration and DBA processes for customers and internal teams.
• Advise customers on SQL Server best practices, disaster recovery, security, capacity planning, and resource consumption.
• Provide advanced technical support during customer and sales calls, product rollouts, 24x7 production support, and database on-call rotations.

Requirements

• Advanced understanding of indexes, index management, integrity checks, and database statistics.
• Advanced knowledge of high-availability solutions, disaster recovery, and database systems architecture.
• Expertise in database management, SQL Server administration, cloud computing, and automation.
• Strong analytical, investigative, audit, risk assessment, and process improvement skills.
• Ability to work independently on complex problems and provide functional leadership to teams or projects.
• Availability for hybrid work in Cardiff or London (Hayes) and participation in 24x7 support and on-call rotations.
