Senior Backend Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Preferred in New York or San Francisco; on-site three days a week in the office

What you will do

• Make architectural and engineering design decisions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally on product ideation and direction.
• Define solutions to new problems and own related projects.
• Propose, demonstrate, and implement improvements to the tooling stack.
• Help determine how offline processes should be implemented in the product.
• Contribute to building and scaling the product.

Requirements

• BA, BS, or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• 6–12 years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in backend development and backend frameworks such as Node.js, Rails, or Flask.
• Proficiency with Express.
• Experience building software that combines disparate aspects of complex business processes.
• Clear verbal and written communication with non-technical stakeholders.
