Planning Compliance Manager

Location: Fully site-based at 138 Cauldwell St, Bedford, United Kingdom

What you will do

• Monitor and enforce compliance with planning permissions, planning conditions, approved documentation, CEMPs, method statements, environmental management plans, and SDO requirements.
• Conduct daily site inspections across the resort construction complex and verify that contractor activities follow approved submissions.
• Act as the on-site planning compliance representative for contractors, site managers, subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams.
• Identify and resolve non-compliance issues by coordinating corrective actions, revised methodologies, mitigation measures, and improved site practices.
• Review and support the preparation and submission of planning compliance documentation, ensuring proposed approaches are practical and deliverable.
• Coordinate governmental and regulatory site visits and promote planning compliance through workshops, toolbox talks, briefings, and practical guidance.

Requirements

• Experience relevant to planning compliance within a live construction environment.
• Ability to interpret and apply planning permissions, statutory obligations, environmental conditions, working-hour restrictions, and SDO requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively with contractors, consultants, site managers, subcontractors, planning authorities, and regulatory bodies.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Construction Management, Environmental Management, Planning, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Willingness to work fully on site in Bedford, United Kingdom.
