Compliance Officer – Regulatory Support, Advisory & Technology Transformation (AI)

What you will do

• Support regulatory obligations, compliance monitoring, governance, policies, procedures, training, and regulatory examinations for hirify.global Japan.
• Monitor regulatory developments and business initiatives, assess compliance implications, and support implementation of appropriate requirements.
• Assist with regulatory filings, management reporting, compliance reviews, and strategic compliance projects.
• Collaborate with Japan, regional, and global Compliance teams and with Legal, Operations, Technology, HR, and business stakeholders.
• Identify and implement AI, automation, data analytics, and workflow solutions to improve compliance efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
• Develop dashboards, management information, documentation, knowledge-management solutions, and data-driven insights.

Requirements

• Experience or demonstrated interest in compliance, legal, operations, internal audit, internal controls, business management, process improvement, project management, technology enablement, or transformation initiatives.
• Ability to learn and support compliance topics across local, regional, and global frameworks.
• Strong interest in AI, automation, digital tools, emerging technologies, data, and systems.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, execution, analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Native-level Japanese and business-level English proficiency.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Nice to have

• Experience in compliance, asset management, financial services, professional services, consulting, or technology-enabled environments.
• Working knowledge of financial services regulations and compliance frameworks, particularly in Japan.
• Experience with AI, automation, data analytics, workflow technologies, or technology-driven business initiatives.
• Professional certification in compliance, audit, project management, technology, or a related discipline.
