Senior Accountant - Finance Team (Fintech)

What you will do

• Lead components of monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Maintain the general ledger in accordance with US GAAP and prepare supporting schedules for financial statement audits.
• Research complex accounting issues, including ASC 606 revenue accounting and ASC 842 lease accounting, and prepare technical memos.
• Implement and maintain accounting policies and internal controls aligned with compliance and SOC-related expectations.
• Partner with FP&A, Legal, Sales, and Operations on the accounting treatment of contracts, spending, and business initiatives.
• Improve accounting processes and support ERP enhancements and automation initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 8–10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, month-end close, reconciliations, and audit support.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and the ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work onsite in Bengaluru, India.

Nice to have

• CPA certification or progress toward CPA.
• Experience in fintech, SaaS, or high-growth, PE-backed environments.
• Experience with ASC 606 or ASC 842.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite and process automation tools.
