Senior Research Associate, Bioanalytical & Molecular Assays

Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States, or Oxford, England. In-person 70/30 work model with 70% of work performed in the office.

What you will do

• Perform molecular and cellular bioanalytical assays, including gel electrophoresis, ddPCR, qPCR, and RT-qPCR, to quantify RNA in biological matrices.
• Develop, optimize, qualify, and validate phase-appropriate assays supporting clinical pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic analyses.
• Transfer bioanalytical methodologies into GCLP-compliant clinical workflows and review raw data, validation reports, and study reports for integrity and compliance.
• Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Sample Management, internal teams, and external laboratories to define sample journeys and laboratory manuals.
• Manage analytical equipment, critical reagents, SOPs, electronic laboratory notebooks, and supporting documentation.
• Improve laboratory efficiency and data interpretation through digital tools, automation, and Generative AI-enabled scientific workflows.

Requirements

• Master's degree with 5+ years of experience, or bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience, in molecular biology or a related scientific discipline.
• Bioanalytical and GCLP/GLP experience performing clinical molecular assays.
• Hands-on experience with molecular biology and nucleic acid characterization techniques, including gel electrophoresis, capillary electrophoresis, and qPCR.
• Knowledge of GCLP requirements, analytical science regulations, and current industry expectations.
• Ability to communicate program objectives, analyze data, and present findings to team members and stakeholders.

• Experience with next-generation sequencing and genomics.
