Reconciliation Specialist (Fintech)

What you will do

• Perform daily and monthly reconciliations across multiple systems, platforms, payment gateways, and financial accounts.
• Investigate and resolve transaction mismatches, discrepancies, exceptions, and system variances.
• Coordinate with Finance, Product, IT, banks, and Payment Service Providers to address data issues and process gaps.
• Prepare reconciliation reports and support month-end closing and financial reporting activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve and automate reconciliation workflows.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of reconciliation controls and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Experience in financial reconciliation, payment operations, accounting, or finance operations.
• Strong understanding of transaction reconciliation and settlement processes.
• Experience working with multiple systems, payment gateways, banks, or financial platforms.
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to work accurately with high-volume transactions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, payments, e-commerce, lending, or financial services.
• Experience with reconciliation automation and process improvement.
• Experience supporting month-end closing and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of payment gateway settlements, fees, refunds, reversals, chargebacks, and disbursements.
• Experience designing reconciliation processes and controls.
