TL;DR
Quantitative Research Lead, Construction & Platform (Quantitative UX Research and Statistics): Building Autodesk's quantitative understanding of users, critical journeys, and product experiences with an accent on survey science, applied statistics, and attitudinal-behavioral data integration. Focus on measuring AI-enabled experiences, developing segmentation and experimentation approaches, and translating complex evidence into product prioritization and investment decisions.

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada. Travel approximately 2–4 times per year across North America. In-person onboarding and/or identity verification may be required.

Salary: CAD 112,000–163,900 annual base salary for Canada-based roles. Offers may exceed this range and may include annual bonuses, stock grants, and benefits.

What you will do

  • Build quantitative understanding of critical user journeys, including frequency, importance, pain points, and outcomes.
  • Establish scalable approaches for experience measurement and benchmarking across products, journeys, and competitive experiences.
  • Design and execute quantitative research using surveys, behavioral data, experiments, and other appropriate methods.
  • Develop measurement approaches for AI and agentic experiences, including usefulness, quality, trust, adoption, and overall experience.
  • Partner with Data Science and Product Analytics to integrate attitudinal and behavioral data, including segmentation and predictive modeling.
  • Translate quantitative evidence into recommendations for product prioritization, strategy, and investment decisions while mentoring researchers and building organizational capability.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience applying quantitative research methods to complex, ambiguous product questions at a senior or principal level.
  • Deep expertise in quantitative research design, applied statistics, and survey methodology, including sampling, measurement, bias, and validity.
  • Proficiency in R, Python, SQL, or comparable statistical tools, with experience working with large or complex datasets.
  • Experience integrating quantitative research with behavioral, qualitative, or business data to generate actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, including the ability to explain complex evidence, uncertainty, and trade-offs to product teams and senior leaders.
  • Ability to work independently in ambiguous environments and shape research approaches and priorities.

Nice to have

  • Experience partnering with Data Science or Product Analytics on survey and behavioral data integration.
  • Experience with segmentation, predictive modeling, and experimentation.
  • Experience evaluating AI-enabled products or other emerging technologies.
  • Experience working across complex, multi-product ecosystems.
  • Experience building quantitative research capability through consultation, mentoring, shared practices, or standards.
