WeLab Bank - (Senior) Officer, Business Control

Location: Quarry Bay, Hong Kong; onsite office-based role.

What you will do

• Monitor calls across hirify.global business units to verify adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and procedures.
• Conduct periodic KCSA reviews of bank operations and business units as a first line of defence.
• Identify, articulate, and quantify significant discrepancies, preparing review reports with findings and recommendations.
• Follow up on management responses, corrective actions, and risk-control implementation.
• Track daily operational risk exposure and maintain operations management information.
• Prepare management presentations and centralize control-related records while supporting general administrative activities.

Requirements

• Degree or above in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Operations Management, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of banking operations experience, preferably involving centralized processing and control functions; candidates with less experience may be considered for the Officer level.
• Solid knowledge of internal control principles and the ability to assess risks across different dimensions.
• Strong understanding of digital, online, or virtual banking operations.
• Strong communication skills, ownership, independence, and the ability to explain complex information to varied audiences.
• Excellent spoken and written Cantonese and English required.
