Senior Regulatory Compliance Manager, HK (Fintech)

What you will do

• Manage regulatory compliance activities for payment services, securities and asset management, and money remittance in Hong Kong.
• Act as a primary contact for CED, SFC, and HKMA regulatory engagement, including licence applications, business plan updates, and information requests.
• Maintain regulatory reporting, licensing responsibilities, registrations, and renewal processes.
• Advise product and business teams on regulatory change, conduct risk, ethics, controls, and compliance obligations.
• Deliver compliance monitoring, targeted and thematic reviews, and employee compliance training.
• Support regulatory expansion and special operations projects that resolve business and operational issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of compliance experience in a regulated financial institution, FinTech, legal or consulting firm.
• Strong knowledge of Hong Kong and wider Asia-Pacific financial regulation, including MSO, SFO, SFC, and PSSVFO requirements.
• Experience developing or maintaining compliance programs, preferably for payments activity.
• Understanding of financial products, conduct risk, ethics, controls, licensing processes, and regulatory expansion.
• Ability to work with data, think strategically, and solve complex regulatory compliance challenges.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English, Chinese, and Cantonese.

Nice to have

• Experience dealing with the HKMA, CED, and SFC in Hong Kong.
• Exposure to RegTech or technology-driven compliance solutions.
