Facility Engineering, Automation Intern (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Learn facility engineering operations, utility systems, and maintenance practices.
• Participate in facility walkthroughs and system familiarization sessions.
• Observe and document daily operational and maintenance activities, including mechanical processes.
• Map workflows, identify manual activities, and analyze facility, maintenance, and operational data.
• Support the development of dashboards, reports, and automation solutions.
• Prepare and present process improvement and automation recommendations to Facility Engineering leadership.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an accredited degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Facilities Management, Data Analytics, or a related field during the internship.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Good academic standing with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Power BI, Power Automate, SharePoint, or similar digital tools.
• Basic knowledge of data analysis and visualization.
• Interest in automation, digital transformation, or smart facilities.
• Familiarity with Python, SQL, VBA, or other programming and scripting tools.
• Experience with process mapping or continuous improvement projects.
