What you will do
- Learn facility engineering operations, utility systems, and maintenance practices.
- Participate in facility walkthroughs and system familiarization sessions.
- Observe and document daily operational and maintenance activities, including mechanical processes.
- Map workflows, identify manual activities, and analyze facility, maintenance, and operational data.
- Support the development of dashboards, reports, and automation solutions.
- Prepare and present process improvement and automation recommendations to Facility Engineering leadership.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an accredited degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Facilities Management, Data Analytics, or a related field during the internship.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Good academic standing with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.
Nice to have
- Exposure to Power BI, Power Automate, SharePoint, or similar digital tools.
- Basic knowledge of data analysis and visualization.
- Interest in automation, digital transformation, or smart facilities.
- Familiarity with Python, SQL, VBA, or other programming and scripting tools.
- Experience with process mapping or continuous improvement projects.
