Hardware Fleet Operations Specialist

What you will do

• Respond to operational support requests in a 24/5 environment, meeting SLAs and prioritizing work across internal customers and cross-functional teams.
• Troubleshoot Linux-based hardware systems with terminal tools beyond existing documented workflows.
• Investigate recurring operational issues and collaborate with engineering teams to stabilize and operationalize support workflows.
• Create, update, and maintain runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and internal documentation.
• Develop lightweight scripts and basic automation to reduce manual work and improve operational consistency.
• Transition operational workloads from engineering teams to Hardware Fleet Operations.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of hands-on experience supporting or troubleshooting Linux-based systems.
• Experience in technical support, operations, or IT service delivery.
• Comfort working primarily in Linux terminal environments.
• Experience following and improving runbooks, documentation, and operational processes.
• Familiarity with Jira or ServiceNow in an operations context.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting issues and solutions for technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Basic scripting or automation with Bash, Python, or similar tools.
• IT support fundamentals, systems knowledge, and basic networking concepts at Network+ level or equivalent.
