Salary: $114,200–$248,700 annually, depending on the work location. Published ranges include $114,200–$207,200 for Colorado, Florida, and Texas; $125,900–$228,000 for Illinois and Pennsylvania; $131,200–$238,300 for Massachusetts, Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC; and $131,200–$248,700 for New York and New Jersey.

What you will do

• Architect and build production-grade AI agents, orchestration frameworks, SDKs, templates, and deployment infrastructure across the software development lifecycle.
• Create integrations, CLI tools, and Golden Path scaffolding that improve codebase navigation, documentation, developer workflows, and project standards.
• Design testing strategies, governance controls, permissions, and compliant Model Context Protocol integrations for reliable agent behavior.
• Implement metrics, monitoring, logging, dashboards, alerting, and anomaly detection for agent and developer-workflow performance.
• Define KPIs, analyze telemetry, and communicate data-driven insights about automation impact, productivity, adoption, and optimization.
• Partner across teams, prototype AI-assisted solutions, guide SDLC transformation, and mentor software engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline with at least 7 years of related experience, or equivalent training and work experience.
• Strong system design, object-oriented development, cloud technology, data storage, performance tuning, DevOps, CI/CD, test automation, unit testing, and software security experience.
• Full-stack proficiency with Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular, Spring Boot, AWS, and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch.
• Product judgment for identifying high-impact automation opportunities and selecting AI-agent solutions when they provide clear value over simpler approaches.
• Ability to develop products from 0-to-1 and 1-to-100 in ambiguous, experimental environments.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment with required in-person attendance in Rockville, Maryland.
