Crypto Regulatory Principal, Membership Application Program (Crypto)

Location: Jericho, New York, United States; hybrid work environment with defined in-person presence requirements. Work may also take place at member firm premises and conferences, with overnight travel required.

Salary: $131,200–$248,700 annually for NY/NJ. Actual compensation depends on experience, education, skills, and market factors.

What you will do

• Lead or advise on highly complex membership applications and special projects involving crypto operations.
• Develop regulatory strategies and identify business conduct, operational, cybersecurity, and investor protection risks.
• Evaluate crypto trading platforms, market infrastructure, centralized exchanges, DeFi protocols, and securities-market activities.
• Review staff work products, reports, and final decision letters, providing definitive determinations within the area of expertise.
• Develop and deliver training, present subject-matter content, and mentor junior staff.
• Represent MAP management in meetings concerning firms and applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; finance, accounting, business administration, economics, or a related field preferred.
• At least eight years of directly relevant experience.
• Expert knowledge of securities-industry rules, regulations, business conduct risk, industry practices, securities products, and member-firm activities.
• Expertise in crypto assets, custody, wallet creation, private-key management, distributed ledger technology, smart contracts, tokenization, and crypto product risk profiles is highly preferred.
• Strong risk-analysis, research, quantitative, communication, presentation, and time-management skills.
• hirify.global Securities Industry Essentials certification or an acceptable equivalent is required upon hire or within 16 months of the assigned training cohort.
