Software Engineer (C/C++)

Location: Lexington, Massachusetts, United States; onsite five days a week. Domestic travel to field or sponsor sites is estimated at no more than 5% annually. US citizenship is mandatory.

What you will do

• Lead the testing strategy for cryptography and key management capabilities.
• Design test infrastructure and test automation for embedded and enterprise proof-of-concept devices.
• Develop unit, integration, static analysis, and dynamic analysis tests, including fuzz testing.
• Support continuous integration as part of an interdisciplinary, collaborative team.
• Triage and remediate software issues and vulnerabilities.
• Produce and maintain documentation and artifacts required for certification.

Requirements

• Minimum four years of professional software testing and development experience.
• Proficiency in modern systems programming with C++ and C, including object-oriented, template metaprogramming, and imperative programming.
• Experience with software design and development, hardware and software integration, Git, and software documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience demonstrating expert technical knowledge.
• Experience working on small collaborative teams with uncertain, incomplete, or ambiguous requirements.
• Must be a US citizen; active security clearance is preferred, with the ability to obtain interim clearance considered.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Rust or demonstrated ability to learn new programming languages on the job.
• Experience with issue tracking, feature branches, and pull or merge requests.
• Experience with static or dynamic analysis tools.
• Familiarity with Scrum or other Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of cryptography or networking technologies such as OpenSSL, IPSec, TCP/IP, or TLS.
