Lead Identity Access Management (IAM) Engineer/Architect (SailPoint)

Location: Rockville, Maryland, United States; hybrid work environment with defined in-person presence requirements and occasional travel.

Salary: $131,200–$238,300 annually for work performed in Maryland, depending on skills, experience, education, and market considerations.

What you will do

• Lead enterprise IAM initiatives from planning through implementation across hybrid environments.
• Design and develop custom Java solutions, connectors, business logic, and workflows in SailPoint IdentityIQ.
• Build AWS and Azure cloud access automation using Python and PowerShell, including AWS IAM policy automation.
• Manage complex identity provisioning and deprovisioning workflows and integrate Active Directory and Azure AD.
• Design role models and certification campaigns that support governance and compliance requirements.
• Lead testing strategies, troubleshoot complex identity issues, mentor engineers, and coordinate cross-functional IAM transformation projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline with at least seven years of related experience, or equivalent training and work experience.
• Strong hands-on SailPoint IdentityIQ administration and development experience with Java application development.
• Experience leading security architecture, access-control design and implementation, secure software assurance, incident response, and security policy development.
• Experience with multiple cybersecurity tools, including configuration assessment, log aggregation, integrity verification, web application security testing, network access control, intrusion prevention, and endpoint security.
• In-depth information security knowledge, strong technical communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple teams.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment with required in-person presence in Rockville, Maryland.
