Senior Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer (Microsoft Entra ID)

Location: Hybrid role based out of the Bridgewater, New Jersey office, with remote work available most of the time and in-person collaboration as needed.

Salary: $133,000–$173,000 annual

What you will do

• Administer Active Directory Domain Services and Microsoft Entra ID, including users, groups, devices, replication, and security configuration.
• Manage hybrid identity synchronization, SSO integrations, authentication, federation, Conditional Access, MFA, passwordless authentication, and Privileged Identity Management.
• Maintain identity federation across Active Directory, Entra ID, AWS, GCP, Microsoft 365, Workday, ServiceNow, and enterprise SaaS platforms.
• Implement Joiner-Mover-Leaver lifecycle automation, identity governance workflows, and least-privilege controls.
• Investigate identity-related security alerts and support incident response for credential compromise or privileged access misuse.
• Develop and test disaster recovery, business continuity, backup, restore, failover, and automation procedures using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of experience supporting enterprise Identity and Access Management or Directory Services.
• Strong hands-on experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, including hybrid identity design and Entra Connect or Cloud Sync.
• Experience implementing SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, identity lifecycle automation, and federation across AD, Entra ID, AWS, and GCP.
• Working knowledge of SAML, OAuth, OIDC, and LDAP authentication and federation protocols.
• Experience supporting identity security operations, incident response, or resilience planning.

Nice to have

• Experience with Okta and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Experience in life sciences, pharmaceutical, or other GxP-regulated environments.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 security and compliance capabilities.
• Microsoft certifications related to identity, Azure administration, Windows Server, or Active Directory.
