TL;DR
AI Program Manager Intern (LLM): Driving AI literacy and optimizing engineering workflows for automotive AI product development with an accent on LLM adoption, developer tooling, and cross-functional coordination. Focus on integrating coding assistants and MCP, automating internal workflows, and tracking sprint execution.

Location: San Jose, California, United States; on-site

Hourly rate: $28 for undergraduate students / $32 for graduate students

What you will do

  • Research and promote the latest LLM capabilities and developer tools through internal enablement sessions.
  • Assess development and management workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement AI-driven automation.
  • Coordinate between Product Managers and Developers to align technical requirements with product roadmaps.
  • Support the integration of coding assistants and open-source protocols such as MCP for code generation, testing, and documentation.
  • Assist with sprint management, documentation, and progress tracking in project management software.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, MIS, or a related technical or analytical field.
  • Experience from software development or technical project coordination, including internships, academic projects, or bootcamps.
  • Foundational knowledge of modern LLMs, including Claude, GPT, or Gemini, and enterprise use cases.
  • Hands-on familiarity with developer tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Export-controlled technology access may require authorization under United States export regulations.

Nice to have

  • Professional experience as a Software Developer or Engineer.
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and agile project management tools.
  • Familiarity with the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
  • Basic Python scripting skills for internal workflow automation.
