Software Engineer (C#/.NET)

Location: Full-time, in-office position based at the NYC headquarters in Downtown Manhattan, United States

Salary: $101,100–$134,300 USD per year base pay range for New York State, including New York City

What you will do

• Develop high-volume, highly scalable server-side features using Windows Server, SQL Server, IIS, .NET, and C#.
• Build web services for game console clients, browser clients, and external server clients.
• Develop highly reliable distributed server systems.
• Optimize web performance and improve existing online service features.
• Architect new solutions for matchmaking, cloud saves, leaderboards, player inventory, player statistics, and related services.
• Collaborate with technology teams across worldwide studios.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience developing scalable distributed systems.
• Expertise in C# and/or C++.
• Strong computer science fundamentals and excellent understanding of object-oriented design patterns and concepts.
• Experience with API design and development.
• Knowledge of web service scalability, performance, and security practices.
• Database development experience with MSSQL and source control experience, preferably Perforce.

Nice to have

• Experience building online gaming, commerce, social networking, or search systems.
• Experience shipping titles on console or PC, preferably Xbox or PlayStation.
• Familiarity with DNS, NAT, firewalls, security methods, peer-to-peer, and client-server networking models.
• Experience with online game service APIs such as Xbox Live, Sony NP, or Games for Windows Live.
• Knowledge of Agile software development processes.
