Senior Software Engineer (C#)

Location: Fully remote, but candidates must reside in one of the listed U.S. states and work from the contiguous United States. Candidates must have legal authorization to work in the United States and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Salary: $135,900–$153,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Lead a distributed engineering team in designing, reviewing, and building software.
• Architect, implement, and deploy new systems and improvements with government partners and contractors.
• Ship user-focused features in an Agile development environment.
• Create tools and processes to automate development, testing, and production workflows.
• Write and review technical documentation, perform code reviews, mentor engineers, and provide technical direction.
• Participate in on-call support, production investigations, and hiring activities.

Requirements

• Professional experience with C#/.NET, RESTful APIs, and microservice architecture.
• Hands-on experience deploying and operating applications in Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with large-scale systems, cloud-native architecture, scalability, and performance optimization.
• Knowledge of secure software development, authentication and authorization patterns, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and Git-based workflows.
• Experience leading engineering teams, reviewing code, mentoring engineers, and enforcing engineering standards.
• Experience in Agile development and strong communication with product managers, designers, and stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Storage, and Azure AD.
• Experience modernizing legacy systems; mainframe replacement experience is preferred.
