Senior Field Security Investigator

Location: Remote within the United States; applicant must reside within a commutable location to Flagler and Volusia Counties.

Salary: $32.05–$49.86 per hour

What you will do

• Investigate suspected fraud and other illegal activities against the company.
• Conduct interviews, obtain statements, perform database inquiries, and locate information sources and witnesses.
• Evaluate the credibility of investigative information and evidence.
• Refer and coordinate assignments with outside investigative agencies.
• Provide training and support to departments involved in claims handling.
• Organize investigative workloads, manage active cases, and document files clearly and professionally.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or a related field, or five years of insurance claims investigative or professional investigation experience, or seven years of investigation experience involving economic or insurance matters.
• Experience handling in-person or phone statements and drawing conclusions from collected evidence.
• Ability to manage investigative workloads and stressful situations with minimal supervision.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license, certifications, and permits required by applicable regulations and company standards.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment, work around vehicles, and exercise caution while performing field duties.
• Knowledge of local regulations, legal concepts, case law, medical treatments, and medical terminology.

Nice to have

• Four-year degree or higher.
• Current or prior SIU investigations experience.
• Experience with financial, casualty, bodily injury, workers’ compensation, commercial, marine, auto, property, or underwriting fraud investigations.
• Experience handling complex fraud cases or fraud rings and using public record or claims and policy database systems.
• Professional designations such as CIFI, CFE, FCLA, or CPCU.
