Consultants Specialising in Pain Management (Medical Cannabis)

Location: Remote role within hirify.global UK’s clinical service

Salary: £190,000–£275,000 FTE annually, pro rata based on hours worked and experience.

What you will do

• Assess patients with complex chronic pain who are exploring medical cannabis treatment.
• Make clinical decisions on treatment suitability and manage ongoing patient care.
• Conduct new and existing patient consultations, typically lasting 15 minutes.
• Collect clinical outcome data to support evidence-based practice.
• Contribute to clinical governance and maintain high patient care standards.
• Collaborate with nurses and pharmacists, who manage pre-consultation and follow-up prescribing tasks.

Requirements

• Full GMC Registration
• Completion of Specialist Training with CCST, CCT, or equivalent certification
• Current entry on the GMC Specialist Register for Pain
• Experience as a Pain Management Consultant and sound clinical judgement.
• Demonstrated interest in alternative therapies.
• Willingness to participate in clinical data collection and reporting.

Nice to have

• Previous experience with cannabis-based medicines is beneficial but not required.
• Interest in improving outcomes for patients with complex chronic pain.
