Paralegal (Criminal Law)

Location: Brazil; preferred location: Latin America. Fully remote, with working hours from 9 am to 5 pm EST.

Salary: USD 1,200–1,600 per month.

What you will do

• Prepare background legal materials, draft basic legal documents, and compile case files.
• Coordinate depositions, hearings, court appearances, and other schedules with opposing counsel, judicial officers, and court staff.
• Track court dockets, filing deadlines, and procedural requirements.
• Organize, review, and redact legal documents and evidence for proceedings.
• Maintain accurate case management records, client files, and calendars.
• Communicate professionally with internal legal teams and court personnel.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably supporting US criminal law.
• Required experience with court scheduling, deposition coordination, and docket management.
• Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills required.
• Strong understanding of US legal procedures, terminology, and court rules.
• High organization, reliability, discretion, emotional intelligence, and attention to detail.
• Experience with Filevine, Clio, or similar legal case management systems.

Nice to have

• Experience in criminal law.
