Principal Software Engineer I (.NET/Cloud)

Location: Maryland Heights, Missouri, United States; hybrid office schedule with work from home available up to one day per week

What you will do

• Lead the modernization of enterprise-scale .NET applications into cloud-native, microservices-based platforms.
• Establish technical strategy and engineering standards for cloud adoption, application modernization, software quality, and DevSecOps.
• Design scalable, secure, highly available distributed systems using AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and modern cloud services.
• Drive digital transformation for customer service operations, call centers, and enterprise back-office teams.
• Lead architecture reviews and technical decisions across multiple product teams while aligning technology investments with business objectives.
• Mentor senior engineers and evaluate AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and software quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• 4–5 years of experience with Git-based source control platforms and 2–3 years of cloud infrastructure management and architecture.
• 2–3 years of experience with Helm and Kubernetes management tools.
• Expert-level proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core/.NET 8+, object-oriented design, containerized microservices, and REST API integration.
• Experience with Google Cloud services, front-end development using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, and relational or NoSQL databases.
• Must be able to work lawfully in the United States without employment-based immigration sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience leading enterprise application modernization in large organizations or supporting telecommunications, customer care, and high-volume call center platforms.
• Experience with workflow automation, robotic process automation, event streaming, or observability platforms.
• Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Google Professional Cloud Architect.
