Software Engineer (C++/C#)

Location: Hybrid at the Taipei APAC office, Taiwan

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain native Windows desktop applications and cloud-based services.
• Build RESTful APIs, event-driven services, relational and NoSQL database integrations.
• Own key system components and translate product requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Support modernization of cloud platform architecture and infrastructure.
• Write, test, document, and review code while improving engineering processes and standards.
• Troubleshoot complex performance and reliability issues and collaborate with product management, QA, and engineering teams.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software development experience or equivalent demonstrated expertise.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and C# for native Windows development and/or C#/ASP.NET (.NET), JavaScript/TypeScript, and React for cloud services.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming, memory management, performance considerations, design patterns, SOLID principles, and modular architecture.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, API design, messaging and event-driven architecture, and system integration.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, Azure, Git, and collaborative development workflows.
• Written and spoken English proficiency and authorization to work in Taiwan without work permit sponsorship are required.

Nice to have

• Experience across native Windows and cloud/web codebases.
• Experience with Nx monorepo tooling and micro-frontend architecture.
• Expertise in Windows debugging, performance profiling, optimization, and security best practices.
• Experience with Linux-based deployment environments.
