What you will do

• Lead the neuroscience organization and advance high-impact programs from discovery through clinical development.
• Direct exploratory target selection, target validation, lead identification, and compound optimization using in vitro and in vivo pharmacology.
• Oversee PK/PD studies, target engagement, pathway biology, translational biomarker assays, and human dose projections.
• Build, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary neuroscience team focused on preclinical pharmacology and translational medicine.
• Collaborate with Research, Translational Sciences, Clinical Development, Regulatory, and Biometrics leaders on integrated portfolio strategies.
• Lead collaborations with biopharma partners, academic institutions, CROs, scientific investigators, and patient advocacy groups.

Requirements

• Ph.D. with 15+ years of industry or biotechnology leadership experience in neurobiology and pharmacology.
• Established scientific reputation in neuroscience and neurodegenerative disease research, demonstrated through publications, scientific leadership, and collaborations.
• Extensive experience with disease-relevant in vivo models, quantitative and statistical analysis, translational biomarker endpoints, and clinical candidate development.
• Experience authoring or contributing to IND and CTA documents, clinical protocols, regulatory submissions, and study reports.
• Proven ability to build and lead multidisciplinary teams and cultivate collaborations across academic, clinical, industry, and research organizations.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored visa sponsorship.
