Salary: $128,600–$210,000 annually

What you will do

• Design and lead experiments evaluating the efficacy, target engagement, and delivery efficiency of viral and non-viral therapeutic candidates in CNS disease models.
• Design AAV transgene cassettes to optimize therapeutic efficacy.
• Lead research associates in executing experiments and analyzing primary data.
• Interpret complex datasets and integrate findings with scientific literature to define data-driven next steps.
• Communicate project strategy, scientific vision, and data updates to senior leaders.
• Author and review preclinical study reports supporting regulatory submissions, while mentoring junior scientists.

Requirements

• Experience evaluating DNA- or RNA-based therapeutics in small-animal models.
• Hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques.
• Experience mentoring and managing research associates.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Preferred: Ph.D. in neuroscience, gene therapy, or a related discipline.
• Preferred: 5+ years of combined postdoctoral and industry experience in biotechnology, genetic medicines, or CNS drug discovery.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of both viral and non-viral genetic medicine delivery modalities.
• Experience applying an engineering mindset and a design-build-test-learn framework to scientific problems.
