Salary: $109,500–$208,500 per year

What you will do

• Lead high-throughput siRNA screening workflows using automated liquid-handling and laboratory automation systems.
• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot automated sample preparation methods, including RNA extraction, RT-qPCR, and RNA-seq library preparation.
• Design experiments to evaluate siRNA activity, potency, and selectivity with molecular biology assays.
• Establish data analysis workflows covering assay QC, normalization, hit assessment, and interpretation.
• Develop NGS-based gene expression profiling strategies and collaborate with platform, program, cross-functional, and bioinformatics teams.
• Standardize and document workflows, resolve technical issues, present results, and mentor junior scientists or research associates.

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in Molecular Biology, Genomics, Bioinformatics, Bioengineering, or a related discipline.
• Typically 0–4+ years of relevant industry experience with a PhD, 8–10+ years with an MS, or 10–12+ years with a BS.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory automation, high-throughput screening workflows, and coding for automation systems.
• Deep experience with RNA extraction and RT-qPCR assay development, execution, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with NGS library construction, gene expression profiling, scripting, data processing tools, or bioinformatics collaboration.
• Strong communication, organizational, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with siRNA screening, oligonucleotide therapeutics, or RNA biology.
• Experience supporting platform development in a matrixed drug discovery environment.
