Design Process Support Advisor (Energy Delivery)

Location: Pomona, California, US; employees must work and reside in California. The position is primarily remote, with approximately 30–40% attendance at an SCE facility and up to 40% travel to an SCE facility. Relocation does not apply.

Salary: $129,200–$193,700 per year

What you will do

• Represent design personnel on cross-functional teams addressing technical, departmental, and policy matters.
• Identify design and process issues, recommend solutions, and manage related documentation and training.
• Coordinate with Regulatory, Legal, Governmental Affairs, Real Estate, Standards Engineering, and IT stakeholders.
• Oversee contracts, agreements, permits, and easements in compliance with administrative and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate transmission and distribution activities, outage management, facility maintenance, and capital improvements.
• Track project scope, costs, resources, schedules, budgets, forecasts, and operational data to support business decisions.

Requirements

• Seven or more years of experience in energy delivery and distribution.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, and project coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with limited managerial oversight in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, matrix reporting structure and follow Edison safety protocols.
• Must work and reside in California and be available for regular SCE facility attendance and travel.

Nice to have

• Five or more years of experience in a Design Organization and three or more years as a Planner.
• Bachelor’s degree and project management certification.
• Knowledge of Transmission and Distribution Design Standards and tools such as Design Manager, Automated Utility Design, and SpidaCalc.
• Experience with planning systems, maps, work orders, pricing documentation, and material ordering.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook, OneNote, Visio, and PowerPoint.
