Engineer 1, Energy Efficiency (Energy Efficiency)

Location: Irwindale, California, US; hybrid work with required reporting to an SCE facility and residence in California

Salary: $79,200–$118,700 per year

What you will do

• Support energy-efficiency programs with multi-million-dollar budgets and deemed projects.
• Prepare technical engineering evaluations and assist with equipment and operations inspections.
• Revise measure packages, operationalize requirements, and oversee data and installation procedures.
• Maintain engineering records, documentation, and project document lifecycles.
• Support investigations, Root Cause Analysis, Apparent Cause Analysis, troubleshooting, and corrective actions.
• Provide operational support for customer satisfaction, reliability performance, and electrical system health.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or in a scientific, technical, or mathematical field.
• Experience performing engineering work in operations, production, construction, or maintenance environments.
• Valid Class C Driver’s License.
• Ability to participate in emergency response and business continuity efforts, including an on-call rotation approximately every four to six weeks.
• Unless otherwise noted, employees must work and reside in California.

Nice to have

• FE/EIT designation.
• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with Power Query, Power Automate, Alteryx, Python, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Snowflake, VBA, or similar tools.
• Experience creating dashboards, reports, and data visualizations for business decision-making.
