Senior Staff Design Technologist (AI): Building AI-enabled design workflows, reusable platform UI patterns, and internal tooling at the intersection of product design, design systems, and frontend implementation with an accent on AI prototyping, design-to-code workflows, and technical product experiences. Focus on experimenting with agent-driven interfaces, reducing drift between design and engineering systems, and improving visual quality, interaction design, usability, and accessibility.
Location: Remote; compensation and employment locations are within the United States and Canada
Salary: $150,000–$250,000 per year, plus equity and bonus eligibility

What you will do
- Build and maintain AI prototyping starter kits, repositories, conventions, scripts, tools, and workflows for the Product Design team.
- Experiment with MCP Apps and emerging agent UI patterns for AI-native and agent-driven experiences.
- Partner with frontend engineers to improve convergence between design and implementation systems.
- Collaborate on reusable design-system patterns, documentation, usage guidance, and governance across products.
- Audit one-off patterns and improve platform UI cohesion, visual quality, interaction design, usability, and accessibility.
- Enable designers and engineers on AI tooling, design-system changes, and emerging best practices.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Design Engineering, Product Design, Design Systems, or similar hybrid roles rooted in design.
- Strong product and visual design judgment for technical or developer-focused products.
- Technical fluency with modern frontend systems and the ability to build internal tooling.
- Hands-on experience with AI tooling, prototyping workflows, scripts, or automations.
- Familiarity with Figma-to-code workflows, CodeConnect, design tokens, component APIs, Storybook, or similar tools.
- Portfolio or repository demonstrating visual and interaction design, AI prototyping, design systems, frontend collaboration, and measurable impact.
