Software Engineer Principal (Sr DevOps Engineer)

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise CI/CD pipelines and release automation frameworks.
• Automate application deployment, environment promotion, rollback, and Pega deployment activities across development, test, staging, and production.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code and platform automation using Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, scripting, and related DevOps tools.
• Engineer containerized deployment solutions with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability capabilities for highly available production environments.
• Partner with development, infrastructure, architecture, security, and operations teams on reliability, incident management, disaster recovery, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, release engineering, SRE, platform engineering, or systems engineering.
• Strong Linux administration, troubleshooting, networking, security, operating systems, and enterprise infrastructure knowledge.
• Extensive Jenkins pipeline development and administration experience, plus strong Ansible and configuration management experience.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, or comparable tools.
• Strong scripting and automation skills with Bash, Python, PowerShell, Groovy, or equivalent languages.
• Bachelor’s degree or a comparable combination of education, certification, and experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Pega Platform, enterprise repository platforms, release management, and packaged application integration.
• Experience with GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Nexus, or similar platforms.
