Applied Engineer (Voice AI)

Location: Remote across EMEA, with a preferred base in MENA. Work alongside the EMEA team during EMEA business hours and help extend coverage toward APAC hours over time.

What you will do

• Own the technical design and delivery of enterprise customer implementations across MENA from kickoff through production cutover.
• Lead technical discovery, proof-of-concept design, demos, and evaluations for regional prospects in partnership with Account Executives.
• Design solutions that fit customer technology stacks, constraints, and data-residency requirements.
• Represent Deepgram with Arabic-speaking customers and at regional events.
• Share customer feedback with Product and Research teams, including Arabic model performance across dialects.
• Build reusable implementation patterns, reference architectures, deployment playbooks, and automation while supporting complex post-onboarding cases.

Requirements

• Native or professional-level Arabic and excellent written and spoken English.
• Base in MENA preferred, or elsewhere in EMEA in a country where Deepgram's employment partner supports hiring.
• 4+ years of experience implementing or deploying technical solutions for enterprise customers, preferably in customer-facing technical roles.
• Professional software development experience with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Rust, or a similar modern programming language.
• Experience leading production deployments from solution design through cutover and sequencing complex technical work.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for engineering and business stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Comfort across Egyptian, Gulf, Levantine, and North African Arabic dialects.
• Experience with speech recognition, natural language processing, AI voice agents, or related AI technologies.
• Knowledge of AWS, GCP, Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with SIP, WebRTC, and WebSocket streaming.
• French and familiarity with regional procurement, information security, and data-residency expectations.
