Associate Director, Global Knowledge Management (Biotech)

What you will do

• Lead the global knowledge management, information management, and insight advisory service across the CSL Group.
• Own strategic planning, governance, budgeting, policies, personnel management, and performance management for the Global Knowledge Management team.
• Contribute to data standards, governance, and information management programs across life sciences.
• Develop information technologies, systems, workflows, and platforms with a focus on AI, APIs, continuous improvement, and usage metrics.
• Manage vendors, research databases, subscriptions, contracts, procurement decisions, and copyright licensing.
• Lead and mentor globally distributed knowledge team members while collaborating with stakeholders and external knowledge-service networks.

Requirements

• MS, MLIS/MLS, Ph.D. in a science-related field such as biochemistry or chemistry, or equivalent knowledge management experience.
• At least eight years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and at least eight years in knowledge management, R&D, or medical affairs.
• Proven leadership experience in the biopharmaceutical industry and strong stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Experience with life-science data standards and governance, copyright regulations, AI, API usage, research databases, and vendor contract negotiations.
• Excellent English fluency for professional, scientific, and technical communication.
• Strategic planning, customer-focused solution development, accountability, performance metrics, and decision-making skills.

Nice to have

• Five years of people leadership experience in global organizations.
• Five years of experience in global library services or comparable information management responsibilities.
• International experience.
